The PSW aims to facilitate the traders/customs agents with online applications for Import permits by the CIB Punjab. Now the trader/customs can electronically perform document calling, and approval/rejection of Import Permit requests. The Import Permit for the issuance of Boiler’s will be generated by the system which can be utilized by the traders/custom agents at the time of submission of the Single Declaration (SD). The traders will not have to visit the CIB Punjab office and manually submit applications for the issuance of regulatory approvals. The processing of the application will be done online, where traders can have clear visibility of the action being performed.

A complete and comprehensive log of the activities on the trader’s online request for an Import Permit will be visible to the trader/custom agent in the system.

Facilitates compliance with trade regulations through the system relying on HS code/Product Code-based description and purpose of import selection.
Clarity and precision in determining LPCOs
Clarity and precision in determining LPCO requirements on items being imported through the ITMS-based product codes.
Step-By-Step Guide to Process Import Permit
The PSW portal has separate sections for traders & custom agents to fill in the import permits. The procedure is as follows:
Go to PSW Portal > Login - Enter your login credentials.
Go To User Dashboard > Traders/Custom Agents > New Import Permit Requests - In the user dashboard click on the ‘LPCO option.’ Here you will be able to create a new Import Permit by clicking on the ‘Create Import Permit’ button.
Fill-In Consignment Information - Add Consignment Information and click on the ‘Save & Proceed’ button.
Commodities > Commodities Searching > Save - Search and identify the specific commodity HS code and Product code by clicking on the ‘Search’ tab in the Product Code field.
Fill In the Document Information - Upload system required mandatory documents. *Note: The system will only display the documents which are required under the selected HS/Product Code

Log in to your PSW account, click "LPCO" on the dashboard, select "Import Permits," then "Create Import Permit." Fill in consignment, commodity details, upload required documents, and submit your request.
CIB Punjab issues Import Permits for boilers through an end-to-end online process on PSW, eliminating the need for physical visits and manual applications.
You must provide information including HS Code, Boiler type, Capacity (TPH), Working Pressure (MPa), Boiler Maker/model number, Manufacturer, and boiler rating (sq. ft).
Use the ‘Amend Request’ option under LPCO, update allowed fields (limited to three amendments), upload supporting documents, and submit for CIB’s officer review.
Once approved, the Import Permit will show a system-generated certificate number. Click "Download Certificate" under your permit's actions to get the digital permit with QR code and digital signature.
During the Single Declaration process, upload the approved Import Permit by searching its certificate number in the documents section to tag it with your declaration.

Only permitted fields (system-controlled) can be amended, such as consignment, commodity, or document details. Each application can be amended up to three times.
No, the entire process — from application to receipt and further action — is digital. All documents are uploaded and processed electronically via PSW, and physical office visits are no longer needed.
