Everything You Need to Know: WEBOC & PSW

Pakistan’s Leap Towards a Connected Trade Ecosystem.

Pakistan is building a more connected trade environment, bringing all stakeholders onto a single, integrated digital platform. This transition moves the country from the Customs-centric WeBOC to the future-ready Pakistan Single Window (PSW). While both systems aim to simplify trade, PSW goes beyond automation, integrating regulatory bodies, ports, banks, and other trade related agencies into a unified ecosystem that enables faster, more transparent, and more efficient cross-border trade.

From Automation to Transformation

WeBOC was Pakistan’s first major step in automating trade processes, focused primarily on Customs clearance.

PSW is the next stage in this evolution; a powerful, integrated platform that goes beyond Customs to connect licensing bodies, banks, port authorities, and more, delivering true end-to-end trade facilitation.

Where WeBOC digitizes, PSW transforms. Where WeBOC automates a process, PSW integrates the entire ecosystem.

PSW is not a parallel system, it is the advanced platform for modern trade, designed to meet global standards and position Pakistan as a leader in digital trade facilitation.

PSW integrates with WeBOC to provide a one-stop solution for cross-border trade transactions. WeBOC remains the core Customs Management System (CMS) and continues to be used for Customs processes. However, for traders, PSW serves as the primary interface for end-to-end trade facilitation, especially when it comes to meeting the regulatory requirements related to cross-border trade.

No, all the functionalities available to traders in WEBOC are also available in PSW.

The PSW system shall be used to apply for LPCOs issued by various government organizations and regulatory authorities.

PSW is a digital platform that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents through a single-entry point for compliance with all regulatory requirements. WeBOC, is a Customs Management System (CMS) developed by Pakistan Customs for processing of import, export and transit declarations and related cross border trade transactions. WeBOC is one of the systems integrated in the larger PSW ecosystem.

Both systems can be used for submitting the declaration file. However, if there are any regulatory requirements involved, then submission through PSW’s Single Declaration (SD) file is mandatory. In the absence of any regulatory requirement, it is up to the trader to choose either interface, WEBOC or PSW, for filing.
