PSW Launches Airport Community System (ACS) to Streamline Air Cargo Operations

In a major step toward modernizing Pakistan’s air cargo sector, PSW hosted the National Workshop on the Airport Community System (ACS), marking the formal launch of ACS project. The workshop brought together key public and private sector stakeholders to discuss the system’s development, international best practices, and the challenges facing the air cargo sector.

ACS will digitally integrate all public and private entities involved in air cargo operations, facilitating seamless information exchange across the ecosystem. The system will collect, convert, and disseminate digital shipment data, eliminating redundant paperwork, enhancing workflow efficiency, and reducing processing times. By connecting airlines, freight forwarders, airport authorities, Customs, importers, exporters, and other key players through a single electronic platform, ACS will significantly reduce the cost of doing business while offering B2B, B2G, G2G, and B2C services. Additionally, the system’s data analytics and reporting features will optimize air cargo operations in Pakistan.

To ensure the system’s alignment with international best practices, PSW has onboarded two international experts with support from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). These experts will collaborate with PSW throughout the initiative, helping to tailor ACS to the specific needs of Pakistan’s air cargo sector.
