Over 52,000 Users Registered with PSW During One Year

The number of registered users of the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) system reached 52,000 by the end of the first phase of the project which was launched last year in line with Pakistan's commitment to the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement. The system offered services including electronic customs registration, online processing, and issuance of import permits. Besides, the system also offered phytosanitary certificates, release orders and other documents pertaining to government agencies, and digital payments.

PSW Capacity Building Sessions with Stakeholders

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) conducted capacity-building sessions in Faisalabad and Gujranwala in collaboration with the All-Pakistan Bed sheets & Upholstery Association of Pakistan (APBUMA) and the Seed Importers and Producers Association of Pakistan (SIPAP) as part of its Change Management component. The session was attended by a large number of importers and exporters transitioning to the Single Window system.

Boosting trader participation in the capital market will improve the volume of transactions in Pakistan. One of the key challenges facing Pakistan at the moment is the volume of business. Trade regulations in areas such as testing, certification, and licensing are challenging for 60% of Pakistan’s agricultural exporters. This is large because most countries have stringent regulations in place to protect human health and the environment. PSW Media Dialogue: Sindh TV News Coverage

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) organized a Media Dialogue entitled ‘Developing an Enabling Media Network Towards International Trade Facilitation.’ The event was attended by over 50 renowned media heads, journalists, anchors, and reporters. The dialogue provided a forum for the PSW team and media professionals to reflect on the media’s role in generating and promoting trade facilitation initiatives such as the PSW in collaboration with other public and private sector stakeholders forming the cross-border trade ecosystem.

First phase of Pakistan Single Window for Commercial Transport successfully started

MULTAN (Staff Reporter) In line with Pakistan's commitment under Article 10.4 of the Trade Facilitation Agreement of the World Trade Organization, Pakistan has successfully launched the first phase of Pakistan Single Window for trade and transport in which Pakistan Customs, Plant Protection Department, Animal Quarantine Department, Federal Seed Certification and Registration Department, Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority, and Export Development Fund are included.

Miftah greets PSW on National Single Window for Trade, Transportation

In line with Pakistan’s commitment under Article 10.4 of the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement, Pakistan successfully rolled out the first phase of the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) for trade and transportation integrating Pakistan Customs, Department of Plant Protection, Animal Quarantine Department, Federal Seed Certification & Registration Department, Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority, and the Export Development Fund. In addition, 29 commercial banks are already integrated with the PSW platform for the exchange of cross-border trade-related financial information in real time.
