PSW recently held a strategic meeting with senior officials from the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) to strengthen collaboration on risk-based cargo clearance processes in the pharmaceutical sector.
The focus of this initiative is the Integrated Risk Management System (IRMS), a digital tool that enables Customs and Other Government Agencies (OGAs) to apply data-driven risk profiling, reduce unnecessary physical inspections, and conduct joint regulatory checks.
The integration of DRAP into the IRMS framework is expected to enhance transparency, improve inter-agency coordination, and significantly reduce dwell times for pharmaceutical consignments at border points. This collaboration marks a key step forward in leveraging digital innovation to streamline regulatory enforcement and facilitate more efficient, compliant cross-border trade.
