Strategic Consultation: PSW and HDAP Align on Medical Device Import Facilitation

Representatives from the Healthcare Devices Association of Pakistan (HDAP) collaborated with the PSW team for an in-depth strategic consultative session. This meeting served as a critical platform to address the specialized regulatory requirements of the medical technology sector, focusing specifically on the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) Import No Objection Certificate (NOC) process. By engaging directly with industry experts, PSW gathered technical feedback and operational insights that refined the understanding of how life-saving equipment enters the Pakistani market.

The constructive dialogue established during this session enhanced the level of coordination between government regulators and private sector stakeholders, ensuring that digital trade facilitation remained responsive to the unique complexities of the healthcare industry. The integration of these industry insights allowed PSW to identify ways to further streamline specialized workflows and identify methods to reduce procedural delays that often impacted the availability of essential medical devices.

This collaboration facilitated a more efficient, transparent, and predictable supply chain, ultimately strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure. By optimizing these digital pathways, the partnership ensured that the medical community could access critical technologies with greater speed, compliance, and cost-effectiveness, benefiting the sector at a national level.
